Nutrisystem Week 1 Update

I have nearly completed one week on the Nutrisystem plan.  I was going to wait until I was finished with seven full days to post, but I am so excited to share that I am posting now.  I started on December 29th.  So I am almost through my fifth day.  I feel so energetic.  My Mom has always said "fat calls to fat" by that she means that when you eat unhealthy you crave unhealthy foods.  I really see what she means now.  I am not craving the same garbage that I was used to eating.

On my first day I planned out my meals on the website.  I love how easy it is to do.  I just decided which Nutrisystem foods I was going to eat and what I was going to use for the smart carbs and power fuels.  I did a beautiful job of sticking to the plan.  I also did ten minutes of pilates and walked the dog for exercise.  I logged that also and logged my water intake.  I didn't stray from the plan at all.  I have to admit that I was really hungry when I got home from work but after dinner I was fine.

The second day I did the same thing.  I woke up and did some pilates.  Planned out my meals for the day and packed my breakfast and lunch.  When I got to work I realized that I forgot my food at home.  Since I am determined to do this I just used my smart carbs and power fuels that I already had planned and added one slice of vegetarian pizza for lunch.  I know that this was not the Nutrisystem plan I had but I did exercise portion control.  Instead of just giving up because I didn't have my Nutrisystem food.  I adjusted my plan and still ate small portions. 

Then the weekend came.  Weekends are harder for me to eat right but I have done an excellent job.  I walked over an hour each day this weekend.  We have had a three day weekend so today is included in that.  I have stuck to my meal plan as well.  I feel more energetic and I am loving this Nutrisystem plan.  I love how easy it is to plan my meals and then to stick to the plan.  I am very proud of myself and I will continue to stay on this path to becoming a slimmer, healthier me.

I have lost 1 pound already and can't wait to see how many more I can lose.  I will weigh again in two days to see what my weekly weight loss total is going to be.  I know it's going to be a step in the right direction.  I have a lot of weight to lose and I know it will take time.  This time I am going to give it my all.  I have been given an amazing opportunity and I am going to take it.  I really love how simple and easy Nutrisystem is to use.

It's so true about losing the unhealthy cravings when you change what you're eating. Sounds like your plan is going great!
