Bob Harper Beginner's Weight Loss Transformation DVD Review & Giveaway Ends 3/30/12 at 7 PM EST

I recieved Bob Harper Beginner's Weight Loss Transformation DVD from Collage Video to review.  I did this workout once last week and again this morning.  WOW what a workout.  I am still considered a beginner even though I have been working out daily since around the first of the year.  This workout had me sweating from head to toe.  I haven't sweated this much in a long time.  The first time I did the DVD I was too tired to do the 10 minute ab workout after the 45 minute main workout.  I barely got through the whole DVD this morning.  I am worn out.  I can't wait to continue to use this on a weekly basis until I get up to speed.

Certified instructor description: The first workout is a no-nonsense aero/tone interval program for "anyone who hasn't worked out in a long time." It has a huge variety of fat-burning and body-sculpting moves led by a tough-but-supportive instructor ("all I'm asking is: do the best you can"). #NSNation Week Five Update - Lost Another Three Pounds - Total 13 Pounds GONE!

I am so happy to report that I have lost another three pounds in week five.  This is a total weight loss for me of thirteen pounds since I started this journey.  I stepped on the scale early in the week and was already down three pounds so I though maybe I would lose more like five pounds for the week, but no such luck.  Nutrisystem says 1-2 pounds per week is average so I am above average and I am moving in the right direction. 

I have been doing amazing with sticking to the plan and working out.  I can't believe how fast the time is going.  It seems like just yesterday I got the huge packages from Nutrisystem and began eating healthier and working out.  I am still trying to find my inner athlete.  I am trying a variety of workout dvds on weekdays early in the morning and then on the weekends I am walking. 

This morning I did a Yoga DVD and it was such a challenge.  My legs are sore right now as I type but I feel energized and awake.  My body is starting to wake up and get moving.  It's been years since I was active and I can't expect to just be in shape overnight.  These things take time.  I am feeling stronger each and every day that goes by.

I am so happy that I have started this journey with Nutrisystem.  I plan to continue until I am no longer considered overweight.  I have quite a ways to go, but I am making the right choice for me and choosing health.

I really enjoyed both of these workouts.  I am just a beginner and these were both very challenging.  I know that I will be able to enjoy these for many more workouts.  They are very intense workouts.  I love how wonderful I feel after I complete one of these dvds.  If you are looking for a fun workout that really gets your body in shape, you really should try these.

Anchor Bay Entertainment 10 Minute Solution: Hip Hop Dance Mix Review & Giveaway

Anchor Bay Entertainment sent me another dvd to review.  This time it's 10 Minute Solution: Hip Hop Dance Mix.  I really had a good time working out with this dvd this morning.  It's high energy and so much fun.  I am not very coordinated so it was definitely a challenge for me.  The instructor shows you what to do and then builds on it but it's still hard to keep up the first time you watch the dvd.  I am sure that the more I do the workout the better I will get.  The time seemed to go by really fast because I was concentrating so much on the moves and it's a lot of fun too!  Here's a little information about the dvd from the Anchor Bay Entertainment website.

Nutrisystem Week 2 Update - Lost Another 2 Pounds!!!

I have completed two full weeks of the Nutrisystem plan.  I am on the Success plan so I have a protein shake in the morning with my Nutrisystem breakfast.  This morning I had the vanilla shake and the maple/brown sugar oatmeal.  I love how full I feel with so few calories.  A few hours later I have my mid-morning snack of non fat yogurt.  I have been eating Publix non-fat yogurt but I am going to go for the greek yogurt next time I go shopping because it's got so much more protein.  I really have developed a habit of following the eating plan and logging my meals on their website.

After two weeks, I am pleased to announce that I am down 5 whole pounds.  I have lost 5 pounds in two weeks.  I lost 2 pounds this week.  This is a wonderful step in the right direction.  Losing slowly but surely is fine with me.  I feel better.  I jump out of the bed in the morning ready to go and I feel that I look better as well.  I have to take a before photo soon for comparison to the after photo I take when my journey is over.

I have always thought about trying Nutrisystem and now that I am a #NSNation blogger, I have been given the opportunity of a lifetime to get healthy and lose weight.  I really recommend this program to anyone looking to lose weight and feel better.  I have not tried a food that I did not like.  I am eating more fruits and veggies than ever before and I am drinking a lot of water.  I have started working out in the morning before work and walking on the weekends.  This is a lifestyle change for me and I will continue with the skills I have learned for life.

I really feel great after this workout.  It was hard for me.  I am just a beginner but I did what I could and I know that each time I do the workouts I will improve.  The belly fat burner is really challenging as well as the fat blasting intervals.  The power yoga and cardio kickboxing are fun and a challenge as well.  If you don't have much time you could do one of these workouts a day and switch them up each day to have a 5 day workout mixture that is sure to tighten and tone your body.

Week 1 Complete I Lost 3 Pounds!

Hey everybody.  I am on day eight of my Nutrisystem plan.  I feel as though I am really getting the hang of it now.  I figure by the end of next week it will have become a habit for me.  I have had my breakfast, protein shake and mid morning snack already today.  I feel great.  I am not tired.  I am not hungry.  I feel energetic.  I got up at four this morning and did Pilates.  That's my exercise of choice for now.  It really doesn't feel like exercise until the next day when my muscles are sore from working them out.  

I also walk my dog for about 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes in the evening.  This is great exercise for me as well, but it's not new, I have been doing that for year.  We are going further than we used to go though.  She needs the exercise and so do I.  On the weekends I am walking at least an hour, most of the time more than an hour.  I love getting healthy and getting moving.  I really have stuck to my eating plan and exercising plan for each day so far.  I am really motivated and will continue to do my best to lose weight for good!

I have lost a total of three pounds so far.  This is not a huge number but it's a healthy number and it's a step in the right direction.  They say we should lose at a rate of 1-2 pounds per week so that's what I want to do.  I am so happy with the three pound weight loss.

Nutrisystem Week 1 Update

I have nearly completed one week on the Nutrisystem plan.  I was going to wait until I was finished with seven full days to post, but I am so excited to share that I am posting now.  I started on December 29th.  So I am almost through my fifth day.  I feel so energetic.  My Mom has always said "fat calls to fat" by that she means that when you eat unhealthy you crave unhealthy foods.  I really see what she means now.  I am not craving the same garbage that I was used to eating.

On my first day I planned out my meals on the website.  I love how easy it is to do.  I just decided which Nutrisystem foods I was going to eat and what I was going to use for the smart carbs and power fuels.  I did a beautiful job of sticking to the plan.  I also did ten minutes of pilates and walked the dog for exercise.  I logged that also and logged my water intake.  I didn't stray from the plan at all.  I have to admit that I was really hungry when I got home from work but after dinner I was fine.

The second day I did the same thing.  I woke up and did some pilates.  Planned out my meals for the day and packed my breakfast and lunch.  When I got to work I realized that I forgot my food at home.  Since I am determined to do this I just used my smart carbs and power fuels that I already had planned and added one slice of vegetarian pizza for lunch.  I know that this was not the Nutrisystem plan I had but I did exercise portion control.  Instead of just giving up because I didn't have my Nutrisystem food.  I adjusted my plan and still ate small portions. 

Then the weekend came.  Weekends are harder for me to eat right but I have done an excellent job.  I walked over an hour each day this weekend.  We have had a three day weekend so today is included in that.  I have stuck to my meal plan as well.  I feel more energetic and I am loving this Nutrisystem plan.  I love how easy it is to plan my meals and then to stick to the plan.  I am very proud of myself and I will continue to stay on this path to becoming a slimmer, healthier me.

I have lost 1 pound already and can't wait to see how many more I can lose.  I will weigh again in two days to see what my weekly weight loss total is going to be.  I know it's going to be a step in the right direction.  I have a lot of weight to lose and I know it will take time.  This time I am going to give it my all.  I have been given an amazing opportunity and I am going to take it.  I really love how simple and easy Nutrisystem is to use.
