Nutrisystem Week 1 Update

I have nearly completed one week on the Nutrisystem plan.  I was going to wait until I was finished with seven full days to post, but I am so excited to share that I am posting now.  I started on December 29th.  So I am almost through my fifth day.  I feel so energetic.  My Mom has always said "fat calls to fat" by that she means that when you eat unhealthy you crave unhealthy foods.  I really see what she means now.  I am not craving the same garbage that I was used to eating.

On my first day I planned out my meals on the website.  I love how easy it is to do.  I just decided which Nutrisystem foods I was going to eat and what I was going to use for the smart carbs and power fuels.  I did a beautiful job of sticking to the plan.  I also did ten minutes of pilates and walked the dog for exercise.  I logged that also and logged my water intake.  I didn't stray from the plan at all.  I have to admit that I was really hungry when I got home from work but after dinner I was fine.

The second day I did the same thing.  I woke up and did some pilates.  Planned out my meals for the day and packed my breakfast and lunch.  When I got to work I realized that I forgot my food at home.  Since I am determined to do this I just used my smart carbs and power fuels that I already had planned and added one slice of vegetarian pizza for lunch.  I know that this was not the Nutrisystem plan I had but I did exercise portion control.  Instead of just giving up because I didn't have my Nutrisystem food.  I adjusted my plan and still ate small portions. 

Then the weekend came.  Weekends are harder for me to eat right but I have done an excellent job.  I walked over an hour each day this weekend.  We have had a three day weekend so today is included in that.  I have stuck to my meal plan as well.  I feel more energetic and I am loving this Nutrisystem plan.  I love how easy it is to plan my meals and then to stick to the plan.  I am very proud of myself and I will continue to stay on this path to becoming a slimmer, healthier me.

I have lost 1 pound already and can't wait to see how many more I can lose.  I will weigh again in two days to see what my weekly weight loss total is going to be.  I know it's going to be a step in the right direction.  I have a lot of weight to lose and I know it will take time.  This time I am going to give it my all.  I have been given an amazing opportunity and I am going to take it.  I really love how simple and easy Nutrisystem is to use.

Review:
This is the best popcorn I have ever tasted.  I received a very nice Spooktacular Halloween Gift Box to sample and review.

Filled with two footlong bags of gourmet popcorn (Twice-As-Nice Chocolate Drizzlecorn and Hall of Fame Kettle Corn), Parmesan & Garlic Cheese Sticks and Milk Chocolate Popsters (freshly popped caramel corn dipped in rich milk chocolate), this decorated gift box is an affordable way to send big Halloween greetings. Each bag of our popcorn is one foot long and serves 2-3 people. All of our popcorn is gluten free and kosher OU-D.

The first thing we opened was the Milk Chocolate Popsters.  These are amazing.  They are like candy.  The chocolate is top notch and the popcorn inside is crunchy and still a wonderful texture.  

I was so impressed that I had to try the Twice As Night Chocolate Drizzlecorn next.  Yes the bag is big enough for two to three people but it was hard for me to put it down.  I almost ate it all in one sitting.  This popcorn is so good.  It's hard to describe it with words.

The Parmesan & Garlic Cheese Sticks were just as delicious as the first two products that I tried.  I took these to work and snacked on them with lunch for a few days.  They are amazing.  I really had no idea what to expect when trying them but I knew they would be amazing because Dale and Thomas Popcorn makes amazing products.

The Hall of Fame Kettle Corn I gave to my Mom to try.  I am not a fan of kettle corn so I passed it along and asked for her opinion.  She was blown away.  She has tried several kinds of kettle corn and this is by far her favorite.  She asked where she could get more from right away.  My Dad and brother enjoyed it with her as well.  They all gave rave reviews.

I received their line of Grandma's Original Recipe Products to review and sample.  I got the cole slaw, mustard potato salad, potato salad with egg and macaroni salad.  They arrived on ice in a nice package.  They were still cold and in wonderful shape to have traveled so far.  I am very pleased with the quality of packaging and customer service that I received from Sandridge Food Corporation.

My whole family enjoyed each of these products.  My mom loved the cole slaw, she was really impressed with the flavor.  It has just the right amount of tang.  My husband and I loved the macaroni salad.  The potato salads were loved by all.

I would recommend these to anyone interested in a quick easy already prepared salad to go with dinner.  They are really great tasting quality products.

Pretzel Pete Gourmet Pretzel Nuggets Review

Pretzel Pete Gourmet Pretzel Nuggets sent me a box full of their products to sample and review.  I love pretzels and couldn't wait to try these.  We were very excited when we opened the box and found so many new pretzel nugget and pearl varieties to sample.  They have the following flavors:

This one is my favorite.  It's got a lot of cheesy flavor to it.  I really enjoyed the Cheddar & Ale.

Another good one, who doesn't love garlic and cheese.  They pretzel nuggets are delicious.

Honey Mustard is my husband's favorite.  He couldn't put the bag down.  I liked them as well.

Sour Cream & Habanero are very spicy as expected.  They are so full of flavor and I loved these also.

The pretzel pearls are new and oh so good.  I enjoyed each of the varieties.

I received several Clif Bars to sample and review.  I received the CLIF BAR Coconut Chocolate Chip, as well as two new flavors of CLIF MOJO, White Chocolate Macadamia and Dipped S’mores, and our two new flavors of CLIF CRUNCH, Blueberry Crisp and Chocolate Peanut Butter.  These are really good.  I enjoyed each and every one of the.  They are very filling and satisfying.  I would recommend Clif Bar products to anyone.  I was very impressed with the quality of the products.

Kicking Horse Coffee Review & Giveaway Ends 8/31/11 at 7 PM EST

I received a can of Kick Ass Coffee from Kicking Horse Coffee to sample and review.  I love coffee and couldn't wait to try this one.  Kicking Horse Coffee is new to me.  I have never tried it before.  I love the aroma that the kick ass coffee gives off.  I ground up enough beans for a small pot and brewed.  It smells amazing.  It is a nice dark coffee.  I enjoyed a cup black and then I had another cup with some french vanilla creamer in it.  This coffee is really enjoyable.  I can't wait to have another cup tomorrow morning.  I am a huge fan of Kicking Horse Coffee and I can't wait to try the other varieties as well. 

Kick Ass [Dark]
