Dr. Levi: The Art of Fitness DVD is a cardio core, full body workout. It is perfect for any person, any lifestyle, and any fitness level. The DVD is 65 minutes long and retails for $19.95. In this full body workout, fitness expert and physician/orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Levi Harrison, MD, guides viewers through 30 minutes of cardio exercises and 30 minutes of core exercises. The DVD also included a 5 minute workout to achieve perfect abs. This full body program combines boxing, weights, jumps, jogging, kicks, arms and abs to burn calories, lose weight, increase stamina and have fun. Weights, mat and water are recommended for this workout. Dr. Levi's mission for life is to help others to find their own fitness path and ultimately their own Art of Fitness. He encourages everyone to find their own level and work at their own pace to be the best they can be. In this DVD, Dr. Levi leads the workout as three women and two men follow along and show the modifications for beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.
This workout DVD is the next in Dr. Levi's The Art of Fitness series. His book The Art of Fitness: A Journey to Self Enhancement (232 pages, $39.95 www.theartoffitnessbook.com) was published by Brio Press earlier this year. In the book, Dr. Levi visually demonstrates all of the exercises he developed and describes the moves chapter by chapter. Diet and exercise are covered in the book. Exercises include, stretching and warm up; arms; legs and gluteals; chest and back; abs and core strengthening; rest and recovery; and gym basics as well as a master exercise guide. Dr. Levi motivates and inspires.
I have done the entire workout two times since I got the DVD. The cardio portion is a big challenging for me. It starts out with a 30 second plank and then it gets harder from there. Dr. Levi is strong. He is super fit and I believe that doing this DVD regularly will be great for my strength and fitness. I really find this DVD will lead to a stronger core and to me looking fantastic.
In Dr. Levi's words, "Movement is life, breathing is life, exercise is life!" The Art of Fitness book and DVD encompass these principles; to be fit physically, emotionally and spiritually.
