I have been searching for a new cell phone company.  I am fed up with the high costs of the contract companies.  I have done quite a bit of research and it's almost always cheaper to get a pay as you go service.  I finally settled on GIV Mobile.  GIV Mobile is unique because they give a portion of your monthly payment to the charity of your choice.  Isn't that awesome?  You can feel good about using GIV Mobile because you are helping others each time you pay for a month of service.  GIV Mobile is a MVNO (mobile virtual network operator).  It utilizes the 4G network of T-Mobile.  GIV Mobile is also the first no-contract mobile service dedicated to donating 8% of your monthly bill to the non-profit charity of your choice.

With GIV Mobile, you are able to choose from two very affordable no-contract plans to use with a GIV Mobile phone or your own unlocked, GSM phone.  The plans are:

• $40/month Unlimited Everything - talk, text, MMS, International text and web (first 250MB up to 4G/3G speeds) on all 4G enabled phones and smartphones.
• $50/month Unlimited Everything - talk, text, MMS, International text and web (first 2GB up to 4G/3G speeds) on all 4G enabled phones and smartphones.

These plan options are cheaper than the equivalent T-Mobile pre-paid plans, albeit with slightly less data allowance.  After choosing a plan, you will be able to select up to three charities from eight different categories that will receive a monthly donation.



I do not use the phone that much but I have really enjoyed the service I am getting with GIV Mobile.  The calls are crisp and clear and I haven't had any dropped calls.  The phone that they provided me for the review is a Google Nexus 4 and I love it.

The Nexus 4 smartphone is Google's current flagship phone and is pretty hard to beat if you are an Android fan.  If you prefer iOS, you can use the iPhone 5 on GIV Mobile as well.  They also have a selection of other phones available for purchase you can even bring over your existing GSM phone if you want.
