Problem Solvers Balcony Storage Box Review & Giveaway Ends 11/25/11 at 7 PM EST

Review:

I received a 47 Gallon Balcony Box from Problem Solvers to review and they have also offered another one to giveaway to one lucky reader.  I received this last week and got it put together and filled it up this weekend.  I love how neat and organized this is.  It really has helped me get more organized.  I am able to put things away that used to just be out and not organized.  I love that it's so big too!  It really does hold quite a bit of stuff.  It's so helpful to have and it really does look nice.  It's also very easy to assemble.  I love how it really cleans up the stuff that I used to just having lying around.  Now that stuff has a home.  I am trying to be more organized and this has really helped me with that goal.

Peanut Butter Baking Mix Assortment Review and Giveaway Ends 11/24/11 at 7 PM EST

Review:

Peanut Butter & Co sent me the Baking Mix Assortment to review and they have also offered one for me to giveaway.  I used the long weekend to bake the three items so that I can give you a review.  The assortment includes peanut butter cookies, chocolate peanut butter cupcakes and peanut butter brownies.  First I baked the cupcakes.  I followed the instructions on the box and the cupcakes themselves turned out great.  I messed up with the frosting and didn't follow the instructions correctly.  I poured all the milk in instead of adding it a bit at the time the way the instructions stated.  So the frosting was too runny.  We ended up eating the cupcakes without the frosting on them.  But it tasted great and if I had followed the directions I am sure it would have been amazing.

Peanut Butter Baking Mix Assortment

• Old Fashioned Peanut Butter Cookies Baking Mix
• Rich & Tasty Peanut Butter Swirl Brownies Baking Mix
• Mighty Fine Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcakes Baking Mix

Next I made the peanut butter cookies.  These are easy to prepare and possible the best peanut butter cookies I have ever had.  My husband and I really enjoyed these cookies.  The peanut butter brownies were also a huge hit.  I followed the directions and they turned out so delicious.  I loved this gift assortment and I know you will enjoy it as well.  If you would like to enter to win one just enter the giveaway below.

Skillet Bacon Jam Review

Do you love bacon?  I love bacon.  I have found Skillet Bacon Spread which gives the flavor of bacon whenever you want it.  It's so good and easy to have on hand at all times.  I am very impressed with this product and I recommend you try it for yourself if you are a bacon lover like I am.

what is skillet bacon jam?

we make this bacon spread condiment called bacon jam..you say what?.. that’s right, we use niman ranch bacon and render it down along with onions, balsamic and other spices . It cooks for several hours until it is a perfect blend of smoky, tangy, savory and slightly sweet….basically spreadable bacony goodness!  USDA approved.

more information is available at www.skilletbaconjam.com or contact eat@skilletstreetfood.com

Harbour Stories for Children on CD Review

I just received this amazing CD with stories for children on it.  It’s called Story Harbour.  I have been enjoying listening to these marvelous world folklore stories for children as told by storyteller Zette Harbour.  Whenever I am listening to Anansi Tales from South Africa or the Crane Wife from Japan, I am totally engrossed with the stories.  These ancient folk tales from around the world not only entertain, but they also teach children lessons about gratitude and thankfulness, greed and kindness.

These are the stories on the CD:
Track 1: Anansi & Stories (West Africa)
Track 2:Master Of All Masters (England)
Track 3:The Little Old Woman Who Lived In A Vinegar Bottle (British Isles)

Slice Safety Cutter Review

I received a Slice Safety Cutter to review from Tomoson.  If you haven't ever heard of Slice I have provided some information about the company below.

Slice was founded in 2008 by TJ Scimone as a way to help fund long-term care for his son, Alex, who is autistic. A minimum of 1% of all Slice product sales is donated to help fund autism research. By purchasing our products, you’re helping to find a cure for the millions of children and their families who live with autism every day.

We collaborate with some of the most innovative designers on the planet. They take everyday objects - scissors, safety knives, letter openers, ceramic knives, Safety Cutters - and rethink them. How can a safety cutter or a pair of scissors be better? What can we do to reinvent a Box Cutter so it is easier to use? How can we reconfigure beauty tools to make them into works of art?

The result is a collection of award-winning, innovative cutting tools for your home, office, and school that will help you slice in style and inspire you to create great works of art yourself. Your goal is to slice. Our goal is to help you do it with style, beauty, and grace. That’s why every Slice cutting tool is a passionate celebration of bold design and extraordinary function.

I am a couponer so I used the Slice Safety Cutter to cut out my coupons.  It worked amazingly and I didn't have to worry about cutting myself in the process.  I am so happy to have had the opportunity to review this.  Slice is all about cutting with style, and many of our products (but not all) incorporate ceramic blades. Originally perfected for use in cutting tools by the Japanese, ceramic blades made from high-tech Zirconium Oxide are known for hardness and durability, and have many benefits compared to traditional metal blades. In fact, depending on use, you can go years without sharpening ceramic blades.

Slice offers products for almost every part of your life. There are Kitchen products that includes Vase Mills, Safety Cutter, Peelers, Grater, and Ceramic Mill. Beauty Care products consist of Cosmetic Pencil Sharpener and Tweezers. The Home and Office products are prefect for our daily lives which are Letter Openers, Cutter's of various kinds, Scissors, and  Box Cutter Replacement Blades. For ones that need products for safety and industrial include; Letter Openers, Precision Cutters, Safety Cutters, Box Cutters, and Box Cutter Replacement Blades.

Slice has won several awards which includes; 2011 Red Dot, 2011 Global Innovator Awards Best Product, 2010 Pent awards, 2010 American Packaging Awards, and 2009 Good Design Award.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

The Most Delicious & Hardest Working 100 Calories on the Market
Originator of the 100-Calorie Snack Stays the Nutrition Course

NEW YORK, NY – Two years before the country’s largest food manufacturers poured millions into promoting 100-calorie portioned snacks, Aryeh Hecht had already launched the category in 2002 with his 2-ounce, 100-calorie VitaMuffins.

Though moist, chocolate chip-studded chocolate muffins and rich brownies slathered with frosting and nuts don’t sound like diet foods, Mr. Hecht’s mission with Vitalicious Foods was to create baked goods to offer sound nutrition, not just portion control.

While most of today’s 100-calorie foods are loaded with sugar, artificial ingredients and preservatives, Vitalicious baked goods still remain as eponymously “vital” and “delicious” as they were at the outset of the now thriving category.

Over the years, Vitalicious’ individually-wrapped VitaMuffin™, VitaTops™, VitaBrownies™, VitaCakes™ and VitaMuffin Mix™ have exploded in popularity among dieters and non-dieters alike because they are satisfying and provide excellent daily nutrition. In fact, clinical studies have found foods high in fiber and protein help you feel full longer and eat less.
I enjoyed each of these vitamuffins that I tried and the brownies are out of this world.  I shared with my family and everyone was very impressed.  My favorite vitamuffins were the pumpkin spice.  They are delicious.  All of them are great with coffee or hot tea.  I just popped one in the microwave for about 15 seconds and then enjoyed.  I love that they are low in calories and high in the things my body needs like fiber.

“Just because a product only has 100 calories doesn’t mean it’s necessarily good for you,” cautions Mr. Hecht. “It’s not just about portion control; it’s about taking care of your daily nutrition needs while satisfying your craving for something delicious.”

Vitalicious fortifies its products with nutraceuticals, vitamins and nutrients your body needs to stay healthy and energetic. Vitalicious also takes pride in producing only all-natural products, without any artificial additives or preservatives of any kind.

Here is the VitaBreakdown of what you get in each individually-wrapped serving:

  • 100 calories
  • No artificial ingredients
  • No preservatives
  • Whole grains
  • 5g - 6g of fiber
  • 0g - 1.5g of fat
  • 3g - 4g protein
  • 15 vitamins and minerals
