It costs less than a week's worth of Starbucks and will teach anyone how to wind up or down at will. Yoga expert Tamal Dodge leads two time-efficient practices that are simple enough for a total yoga beginner to enjoy.
This workout will help whether you're in need of a natural boost of energy or you're ready to wind down and quiet your mind. It's designed to give you a perfect balance of vitality and relaxation in around thirty minutes. The Energy practice includes breath work and postures known to boost the nervous system, build strength and muscle tone. The invigorating program will reduce fatigue and leave you feeling focused and alert, really more productive in every way.
The forty minute Relaxation practice melts away tension from the muscles and mind with restorative poses, deep relaxation techniques and asanas known to calm the natural fight or flight mechanism in the body. This peaceful sequence will help you gain flexibility, improve sleep and dissolve away stress leaving you with an overall feeling of wellness and contentment.
All you need to do these workouts is a yoga mat or you could just use a rug. You might want to have a towel handy to make certain moves more comfortable. There are not any intimidating poses to be found. The scenery is breathtaking.
Tamal Dodge was raised in Hawaii on his family's yoga ashram. He began teaching yoga at the age of 16. He is the co-founder of The Yoga Collective, one of the largest yoga studios in the Los Angeles area, and s the owner/director of the Tamal Yoga School, a national yoga certification program. When he is not teaching at his school or studio, Tamal spends much of this time touring the world to share the benefits of yoga with people of all ages.
