Country Cupboard Cookies Review and Giveaway Ends 11/30/11 at 7 PM EST

Judy & Dan Wittig started a cookie bakery together in 1988 based on both old family recipes and new ones designed with old fashioned country flavors in mind. Our daughters joined the business as they grew up and now help out part time. Every batch of cookies and brownies is made from scratch, using unbleached flour, premium Callebaut chocolate, creamery butter, rolled oats, fresh eggs and pure bourbon vanilla. The cookies and brownies are mixed in small batches daily and hand scooped to ensure a wonderful homemade taste and texture. A perfect gift for your friends, family and business associates, a perfect indulgence for yourself!

Packaging for our cookie and brownie gifts is carefully chosen to ensure that your gift will arrive in perfect condition and also deliver a beautiful presentation. From country charming to country elegance, our gifts will send your message with delicious good taste.

Review:

Country Cupboard Cookies sent two dozen cookies for me to try and review.  The Signature Holiday Cookies came in a very nice box with a beautiful ribbon on it.  As soon as the package arrived, I ripped the outer box open to find the most beautiful box full of amazing cookies.  I noticed the gingerbread cookies first and then the vanilla cookies and the peanut butter cookies.  All together there were 12 packages of 2 cookies each inside the box.

Doesn't that look delicious?  I tried the chocolate chip cookies first.  I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of chocolate chips in these cookies.  Each bite is full of chocolate chips.  They are soft and fresh and wonderful!  Country Cupboard Cookies are baked from scratch in small batches without any preservatives.  I have really enjoyed each of the cookies that I have personally tasted.  I have tried the snickerdoodle, old fashioned vanilla, peanut butter chocolate chip and orange cranberry pecan.  Each of these is so very good.  They are good sized cookies.  One cookie is very filling the perfect serving size.  If you would like to enter the same box that I received just enter the giveaway below.

Nestle Toll House Cafe by Chip Review & Giveaway Ends 11/16/11 at 7 PM EST

Review:
Nestle Toll House Cafe by Chip sent me a gift box with assorted cookies in it to review and they have also offered the same to giveaway.  This is the first I have heard of them so I had to go check on their awesome menu.  Wow, they have everything that is good!  They have bakery items, cookie cakes, smoothies, ice cream, frozen yogurt and more.  I checked around and we don't have one near me but I can't wait until we do.  I will be a frequent visitor.  Since I do not have any in my area I can still get my fix with online ordering.
I received a gift-boxed original recipe, fresh baked Nestle Toll House cookies assortment to try.  These cookies arrived in a nice box with pretty ribbons on it.  Inside the box were two 1/2 dozen cookies wrapped up in cellophane with a pretty ribbon tied around it.  I tried the white chocolate macadamian nut cookie first.  These cookies are good sized and taste delicious.  I shared with friends and family and everyone raved about how fresh and moist these cookies are.  I haven't had many cookies that came in the mail that tasted this good.  I am really impressed with the quality of these cookies.  There were six different kinds in each grouping.  Everyone wanted more, we ate the whole dozen in a few minutes after they arrived.

If you would like the chance to win your very own gift box with these wonderful cookies in it, just enter the giveaway below.  I promise you are going to love these!  We all know that Nestle Toll House is a brand we trust and now they have Cafe's popping up all over so stop in and enjoy when you see one.

Hollywood Cookie Diet Review & Giveaway Ends 8/24/11 at 7 PM EST

I received the Hollywood Cookie Diet to sample and review.  I got a box of each of the flavors.  I have tried all four and love each of them.  My favorite is the chocolate chip cookie.  I had one cookie for breakfast and then another for a mid morning snack.  These cookies are so good.  They do not leave me feeling hungry right after eating them.  They do not have too much sugar, so there's not a sugar crash after eating a Hollywood Cookie Diet cookie.  I love the Hollywood Cookie Diet.  I did not feel deprived.  I felt full and satisfied after eating a cookie.  They really are amazing cookies.
They have four different varieties to choose from.  I enjoyed all four of the varieties.  We all know that to lose weight we have to restrict calories, but that is easier said than done. When hunger strikes, diets fail. The Hollywood Cookie Diet works by satisfying your hunger and your sweet tooth. Simply eat up to four cookies a day, replacing breakfast and lunch, and eat a sensible dinner. Eat a cookie for breakfast, mid-morning snack, lunch and mid-afternoon snack. The Hollywood Cookie Diet works because it is a low calorie diet based on caloric restriction by meal replacement and portion control.

Each cookie is individually wrapped for eating on-the-go. Take a tasty meal with you to the office, on the plane, on the road, to the gym, or anywhere else you go. Each cookie is also a good source of fiber and protein.

Based on the recommended 4 cookies per day (approximately 600 calories) and a light sensible dinner (approximately 800 calories), the average person who was consuming 3000 calories (or more) per day will lose approximately 15 pounds per month. Of course every individual is unique and results will vary based on many factors. An increase in exercise will help to increase weight loss.

This may be the last diet you will ever need. Use The Hollywood Cookie Diet for as long as you want until you achieve your weight loss goals. You can also use the The Hollywood Cookie Diet as a maintenance program. Always keep a cookie in your car, in your office, or anywhere you get hungry, so you can enjoy a satisfying treat and not gain weight.
I am very pleased with the quality of the product as well as the taste.  I know that this diet will be successful because I am cutting calories.  Cutting calories is the best way to lose weight.  Exercise is important too but cutting calories makes the pounds fall off.

The sponsor has offered to give a box of each of the varieties to a lucky winner from my blog.  If you would like to enter, see the giveaway below.

Biscoff Gourmet Review & Giveaway Ends 8/1/11 at 7 PM EST

Europe's favorite Cookie with Coffee
Biscoff is the name given to the traditional Speculoos biscuits in North America. It's derived from the combination of words Biscuit and Coffee, simply because their caramel flavor and crisp texture make these cookies the perfect accompaniment to a cup of coffee or espresso drink.

Speculoos are decorative caramelized biscuits and they were traditionally used to celebrate weddings and births, to teach history, and to chronicle war in Europe. Today Speculoos make up 20% of all the cookies eaten in Belgium and are still an important part of their culture.

Original Recipe Since 1932
Biscoff cookies are baked using the original recipe created in 1932. They are made with all natural ingredients, using no artificial colors or preservatives. They are vegan and contain 0 grams trans fat and 0 cholesterol per serving. All Biscoff cookies are baked in Lembeke, Belgium by Lotus Bakeries.

Introduction to the U.S. - The Airline
Successful in Europe for decades, Biscoff's popularity 'soared' when it was discovered by an airline food supplier during a trip to Belgium in 1984. Since then, Biscoff cookies have made air travel a little sweeter on nearly every domestic airline and most international carriers. As of 2010, airline passengers nibbled on 1.5 billion cookies, with Lotus Bakeries selling 3.3 billion Biscoff single and double cookies in Europe a year.

Ingredients: Wheat Flour, Sugar, Vegetable Oils (contains one or more of soy bean oil, sunflower oil, palm oil), Brown Sugar, Leavening (sodium bicarbonate), Soy Flour, Salt, Spice (cinnamon)

ALLERGEN Info: Contains wheat, soy.

Review
I received a package of the Biscoff Cookies and a jar of the Biscoff Spread to sample and review.  I tried the cookies right away.  They are delicious.  I ate them by themselves.  Then I had them with coffee and with milk.  They are amazing with coffee and with milk.  These cookies are my new favorite addiction.

Then I tried the spread.  I put it on toast.  The spread tastes just like the cookies but in a spread form.  It's amazing.  It's good on toast.  It's good on croissants.  It's good on anything.  It is great on fruit as well.  This spread is quickly becoming my new addiction.  I am so thankful to have been introduced to these fine products.  I can't wait to share them with everyone I know.

 Review
I received the Lemon & Macadamia Nut Shortbread cookies to sample and review.  I tried these with a fresh cup of coffee.  They are sweet and soft.  They are perfect with coffee or tea.  I really enjoyed the hint of lemon with the macadamia nut.  They are a really nice cookie.  I shared these with my Mom who also enjoyed them.  These cookies are top notch.

I also received a box of crispbread to try.  It's good with hummus or cheese.  I haven't ever had crispbread before but I really like it.  It's a thin, crisp piece of bread.  Almost like a cracker but much lighter.

Byron Bay Cookie Company has been a pleasure to work with on this review and giveaway.  They sent me the cookies and crispbread to sample.  The opinions express above are my own.

Jo-Sefs Gluten Free Cookies Review & Giveaway Ends 7/12/11 at 7 PM EST

Review

Jo-Sefs Gluten Free Cookies sent me one of each of their products to review.   I tried the Sandwich O's Cookies first.  They have vanilla, cinnamon and chocolate.  We enjoyed each of these.  They are gluten free and we love how great they taste.  You will not miss the gluten, believe me.

Next I tried the Animal Cookies.  They have two varieties of Animal Cookies, chocolate and vanilla.  I haven't ever had chocolate animal cookies before.  I really enjoyed both of these animal cookie varieties.  I love that I can feel good about my family enjoying these cookies.

The last ones we tried were the Square Cookies.  They have three varieties.  I really loved the square vanilla cookies.  They reminded me of some cookies we got a lot when I was little.  I can't remember what they were called.  These square cookies are good with milk.  They are also good with some peanut butter on them.  They taste great and they are gluten free, which is wonderful.

You can order these delicious cookies online here.

Jo-Sef’s reputation for the tastiest gluten-free baked goods is richly deserved. Every cookie is baked with premium ingredients, and with the discriminating palate in mind, for the very best in taste and wholesome goodness.

Nine years ago, after endless sleepless nights, and months of agonizing and fruitless doctor visits, our son was diagnosed with gluten intolerance, otherwise known as celiac disease. Our initial reaction to this diagnosis was relief. At least, (we thought) the solution is simple: all we’d have to do to see our son improve is keep him on a gluten-free diet. But as soon as we were ready to start, reality hit us. What would our son eat? Who would help us?

We found the answer within our hearts and in our own kitchen. We researched, experimented, tested and tasted until we found the right recipes for every food our son would be missing in a regular diet. He took snacks to school, ate delicious sandwiches for lunch and even enjoyed pizza parties. Slowly friends and neighbors started asking about our new "bakery" and as word got around we were inundated with calls for recipes and requests to accept orders for those unable to bake. Friends who had children who were allergic to dairy or eggs were also thrilled to have another address where they could find foods their children could enjoy and share. The immediate and enthusiastic response to our efforts was evidence of the tremendous demand for gluten-free products and encouraged us to continue in our mission. The rest of our history is...history.

Today, our son is doing remarkably well, and our attempt to help him avoid gluten has turned into something much larger than we could have ever envisioned. We have reached out and helped thousands of people with our high quality alternatives to the standard gluten loaded fare.
In addition to being gluten free, all JoSef products are egg free, cholesterol free, lactose free, peanut free, additive free, and preservative free. And they’re kosher too!
Did we mention taste? Our reputation for the tastiest, freshest, and healthiest gluten-free baked goods available on the market is hard earned and well-deserved. Everything we sell is baked with our son in mind; he deserves the very best, and so do you!
