Spaghetti in A Hot Dog Bun: Having the Courage to Be Who You Are Book Review

Best selling book Spaghetti in a Hot Dog Bun by Author Maria Dismondy will open as a children's musical in New York this year!  Nationally recognized author, Maria Dismondy's best-selling book, Spaghetti in a Hot Dog Bun, will appear as an off-broadway children's musical in New York City later this year.  A retired teacher, now speaker and author, Maria Dismondy has dedicated herself to writing inspiring and empowering books for children.  She has penned five books that convey her positive message of acceptance, perseverance, kindness and the importance of being true to oneself.

Spaghetti in a Hot Dog Bun tells the story of a one of a kind, Lucy, who dares to be different, as readers experience her journey and interaction with the mean kid Ralph.  Lucy's defining moment is realized when Ralph truly needs help and Lucy puts aside their differences to show the courage to make the right choice.  The story is charming and empowering and explores the dangers of bullying as it shows children that they should be proud of who they are, and, always do the right thing, even when faced with challenging and difficult choices.
