The Ultimate Workout DVD Review & Giveaway Ends 3/28/12 at 7 PM EST

I recently received Michelle Dozois' DVD The Ultimate Workout to review and also another one to giveaway.  I am fairly new to working out.  I started just before new years and I have been doing at least 30 minutes a day for five days a week since I began.  This workout is perfect for me.  There are three complete workouts on the DVD.  Two of the workouts are 30 minutes long and the third one is 15 minutes.  The shorter workout is perfect to combine with one of the 30 minute workouts when I have extra time. 

I have really enjoyed this DVD and will continue to use it along with my other favorites.  I really like to switch my workouts up and this DVD will be on my weekly schedule.  The workout is challenging and I really enjoy it.

I received three DVDs from The Hollywood Trainer Jeanette Jenkins to review.  I have been working on them for the past month.  I love each of these DVDs.


The first one I tried is the Power Yoga DVD.

This workout is wonderful.  I feel stronger and more fit after doing it.  I really do think that it burns fat and I feel more at peace after doing this power yoga dvd.  

Next I tried the Bikini Boot Camp DVD.  I am far from bikini ready but this DVD will get me there over time.

Anchor Bay Entertainment 10 Minute Solution: Hip Hop Dance Mix Review & Giveaway

Anchor Bay Entertainment sent me another dvd to review.  This time it's 10 Minute Solution: Hip Hop Dance Mix.  I really had a good time working out with this dvd this morning.  It's high energy and so much fun.  I am not very coordinated so it was definitely a challenge for me.  The instructor shows you what to do and then builds on it but it's still hard to keep up the first time you watch the dvd.  I am sure that the more I do the workout the better I will get.  The time seemed to go by really fast because I was concentrating so much on the moves and it's a lot of fun too!  Here's a little information about the dvd from the Anchor Bay Entertainment website.

Tropical Traditions Shredded Coconut Review & Giveaway Ends 8/21/11 at 7 PM EST

Review:

I received some Shredded Coconut to sample and review from Tropical Traditions.  Tropical Traditions 100% natural Shredded Coconut is made from organic dried coconuts in the Philippines that are grown with no fertilizers or pesticides. This premium dried coconut contains no additives or preservatives, and is not sweetened. Unlike most dried coconut on the market, our dried coconut products are not treated with sulfites to keep them white. They are a great addition to recipes and baking, or just for snacks! Note: The Shredded Coconut is a very small cut, suitable for baking, such as making macaroons. The Coconut Flakes are a larger shredded coconut cut, perfect for garnishing or toppings, such as the top of a coconut cream pie. The Coconut Chips are a much larger cut that can be used as a snack food. You can mix them with nuts and dried fruit, for example.

As soon as we got it in the mail we opened it and tried it.  It's very good.  You can tell that it's much better than the shredded coconut we have had in the past.  I plan on making this recipe with it this weekend.

Creamy Coconut Oatmeal

Makes 2 generous servings or 3 smaller servings.

• 1 cup milk
• 3/4 cup water
• 1/3 – 1/2 cup unsweetened organic shredded coconut
• 1 tablespoon butter
• 1 + tablespoon virgin coconut oil
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 cup quick cooking oats*
• 2 tablespoons organic coconut cream concentrate

Combine milk, water, shredded coconut, butter and coconut oil in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Add oats and vanilla; turn heat down slightly and simmer for one minute, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat, add coconut cream concentrate, and cover. Let sit for 3 minutes. Remove lid, stir well and serve.
Top individual servings with your choice of toppings. Ex: maple syrup, slivered almonds, and just a little touch of heavy cream or some additional milk. This is also good with chopped dates.
This oatmeal makes a fast and filling breakfast, particularly if served with some fresh fruit on the side.
*Note: You may also use regular rolled oats for this recipe. Simply increase the amount of liquid used and add the coconut and vanilla after the oats are cooked through.

Costume Discounters Review

I received a Malice In Wonderland Costume from Costume Discounters to review.  I was contacted and told that I could get any costume up to $35 sent to me to review.  So I looked through the Plus Size Costumes and found one that I liked.  I ordered the Malice In Wonderland Costume because it's cute and different.  I have not ever really seen one like it before.  My experience with Costume Discounters was wonderful.  They did what they said they would do and I received the costume really quickly after letting them know which one I wanted to review.  Their customer service is excellent.  I would order from them again.  They have great discounted prices and they are easy to work with.

Isn't that a cute costume?  I haven't bought the shoes and wig to go with it yet, so I didn't want to take a picture of me in it.  I am going to look around for some shoes and a wig that go with the costume.  They sell some at Costume Discounters, I may order the shoes and wig from them.  I am pleased with the fit of the costume.  It's always hard when you get something that's basically one size fits all.  But this does fit great!
