Is there any hope for America?
Ralph Reed believes America is on the verge of a new spiritual awakening!
Ralph Reed’s New Book,
Awakening, Offers Plan to
Rescue America from Moral, Economic, and Political Destruction
With a president who opposes Israel, forces citizens to fund abortions, and
supports anti-family legislation, is there any hope for America?
Nashville,
Tenn., January 22, 2014—Ralph Reed, founder and chairman of the Faith
& Freedom Coalition, believes that in spite of America’s recent turn
toward becoming a second-rate power, the
nation could be on the edge of a great moral reversal.
In his latest book,
Awakening (Worthy Publishing, March 2014), Reed says: “America
is rife with the warning signs of a country in decline. Human
trafficking, legalized gambling, divorce, drug use, and abortion
are rampant. President Obama’s domestic policy is outright hostile to
religion.” According to Reed, “Obama’s international policies do little
to protect Christians from terror around the world. In addition, he is
the first U.S. president to openly support
gay marriage while in office. How can anyone be hopeful that America’s
best days are still to come?” His answer: It is
not too late—as long as faithful Americans act now.
Drawing
on powerful instances from history when nations recovered from serious
moral and economic decline, Reed urges readers to take action, standing
firm for the values that have made the
United States the envy of the world for two centuries. In fact, Reed
believes America could be on the cusp of a great awakening spiritually,
morally, and politically if the faithful will pray, repent, be
civic-minded, and refuse to give up.
Reed states, “We need leaders who say what they mean, do what they say, and whose rhetoric provides a road map for how they will lead.” He
also urges that Americans need to band together and live with integrity, upholding
the founding principles of the United States.
Dr. Ralph Reed
is the founder and chairman of the Faith & Freedom Coalition. He
was
senior advisor to the Bush-Cheney campaigns in both 2000 and 2004 and
chairman of the Southeast Region for Bush-Cheney ’04. As chairman of the
Georgia Republican Party, he led the GOP to its biggest victory in
history, helping elect the
state’s first Republican governor and third
U.S. senator since Reconstruction. Reed is chairman and CEO of Century
Strategies, LLC, a public relations and public affairs firm. As
executive director of the Christian Coalition from
1989 to 1997, he built one of the most effective public policy
organizations in recent history. He lives in Atlanta, Georgia.
