Zayna Gold is one of my favorite workout instructors. I have a few of her DVDs already. I was super excited when I was chosen to review her Healing Through Movement. This is for people with Crohn's and Colitis. It is useful to increase muscle tone, prevent bone loss and strengthen your core. I have completed this workout two times already. It's a very calm routine with emphasis on breathing and body sculpting.
Zayna Gold is an award winning Pilates expert. She is the owner of five Boston Body Pilates Studios and creator of the Balanced Body Barre and Boston Body Barre certification programs. Her newest workout is Healing Through Movement: Pilates Head to Toe (45 minutes, www.bostonbody.com). She created this workout to benefit people dealing with auto immune diseases such as Crohn's & Colitis, Celiac, IBS and other digestive disorders. The proceeds from the sales of this new DVD will be donated to The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America.
Best known for her ability to engage and connect with her students, Zayna shares the workout that she uses for herself and others who deal with digestive disorders. The workout is good for all fitness levels and can be practiced through any stage in the health cycle. Viewers will increase muscle tone, prevent bone loss and strengthen the core and back muscles as they increase energy levels and generally feel better.
Healing Through Movement consists of a standing full body sculpting workout and an on the mat segment that includes strength and stretching exercises. Each segment is designed to support participants through the healing process and beyond.
I do not have any of these digestive disorders but I enjoy the workout and feel healthier and stronger after I complete it. I highly recommend it for everyone who enjoys pilates. Zayna Gold is a joy to watch. She is an amazing instructor and she knows her stuff.
